This article assumes that your user access is sufficient to perform these steps. If your view does not allow you to follow these steps, please reach out to your administrator for assistance.
This article also assumes that you have access to a reporting (division) dashboard with one or more individual locations underneath it. The brand (root) dashboard also falls into this category. Performing the steps below at different points in the brand hierarchy may result in different lists. For example, exporting locations from the brand level will result in a full list of every location in the environment while exporting locations from a specific reporting dashboard will result in a list of only those locations that reside under that dashboard.
Note: Listen360 is a fully customizable application. Your instance of Listen360 could use different names to describe the fields/settings.
Adding Multiple New Locations In a Batch
- Log into Listen360 (https://app.listen360.com)
- Select the appropriate reporting dashboard
- Select Settings
- Select Locations (This may have a different name based on your Brand's customization.)
- Select Import Locations
- Download our template spreadsheet using this link.
- Add the details for each new location to the spreadsheet. Each row should include details for a single organizational entity:
- Your Reference: Unique Identifier for the organizational entity.
- Name: Internal name used within your organization.
- External Name: Name used by customers to refer to the franchise.
- Type: Optional. Set this to "Reporting" to create a management reporting dashboard for a particular division or region.
- Reporting Organization Reference: Optional. The unique reference for the division/region to which the entity reports, (ref. column A).
- Address/Contact Fields: Required for organizations of the "Location" type. This will appear in customer-facing communications.
- Language Code: Required. The language code that represents the language to be used in the feedback request. Please contact our support team at support@listen360.com for valid language codes.
- Email: Required for organizations of the "Location" type. Used to define the reply to address for any customer replying to the feedback request email, rather than completing the feedback request.
- Status: Active or Disabled. If set to Active, the owner/first user will receive a welcome email upon import
- Save the spreadsheet and return to the Listen360 application
- Click the Choose File/Browse button and select the updated spreadsheet.
- Click Upload
- Preview your import and then click Continue Import to confirm
- The new locations in the spreadsheet will be created and configured in the Listen360 application
Updating Existing Locations In a Batch
- Begin by exporting a list of existing locations
- Open the downloaded spreadsheet and update or change the information for the existing locations
- Add additional rows for any new locations that you wish to add on top of the updates to the existing locations (use the steps in the section above as guidance)
*Removing rows will tell the system to ignore those existing locations. Locations cannot be deleted but can be Disabled using the status column. (Feedback) Locations disabled in this manner will not affect the status of Reviews dashboards. - Save the spreadsheet and return to the Listen360 application
- Select the appropriate reporting dashboard
- Select Settings
- Select Locations (This may have a different name based on your Brand's customization.)
- Select Import Locations
- Click the Choose File/Browse button and select the updated spreadsheet.
- Click Upload
- Preview your import and then click Continue Import to confirm
- Existing locations that have been changed will then be updated and new locations will be created and configured in the Listen360 application
