Released: November 11, 2025
What Changed
A new configurable preview text field is now available in email template settings. Preview text is the snippet that appears next to or below the subject line in email inboxes before the email is opened. This field supports all existing email tokens and can be left empty if desired, giving companies full control over what recipients see in their inbox preview.
How It Works
The preview text field appears in the email template configuration alongside subject line, heading, and body fields. When configured, this text is hidden from the email body but displayed in email clients as the preview snippet. If left blank, email clients will automatically generate preview text from the email content. The field supports personalization tokens like [CONTACT FIRST NAME], [COMPANY], and others to create targeted preview messages.
Business Value
Email preview text significantly impacts open rates, as it's one of the first things recipients see in their inbox alongside the subject line. By allowing companies to craft strategic preview text, they can increase engagement with survey invitations and other communications. This feature supports the "Rescue Response Rate" initiative by giving companies another tool to optimize their email campaigns and improve response rates through better inbox presentation.
